After buying a 8.9 Galaxy in the UK I have had problem after peroblem.
I work in Iraq and need the ability to download on my site as the wifi is tightly controlled and we are "not allowed" to access Itunes etc.
Therefore, I have bought 2 local network sim cards loaded them with credit activated them on the (Zain) system and have got nothing whatsoever The galaxy simple reads "insert sim". I tried my Blackberry sim from the UK but no joy there.
This is VERY,VERY annoying.
This in turn means I can not download any aps to get at other things I need for the dreaded Galaxy.
My friend has an Ipad and was surfing with in 10 minutes of going through the very same process with a local sim.
Just what is the story in the middle east and sim cards? I'm now at a loss as to how to get this piece of (very pretty) junk working for me.
Any ideas or information would be appreciated!
