Help Galaxy 10.1 Tab 2 contacts issue

I have a Galaxy 3 phone and a 10.1 Tab that is beginning to show its age. Last week, I bought a Tab 2 from Verizon. I have an Outlook Mail account and a gmail account. I have no problem sending/receiving emails on both accounts. The problem is that my gmail contacts sync with my laptop, Galaxy 3, and my old Tab, but not with the new Tab 2. The Outlook mail contacts sync with no problem. Any suggestions?

I moved you post over to the Galaxy 10.1 section were they will be able to give you a better hand.

You should go into sync settings and make sure Contacts are checked there.

Unlike my old tab, there are no "Accounts and Sync" option. It only has "Accounts". When I open it, my accounts show, but there is no "sync Settings" options. Emails work on both Outlook Mail and
gmail. Outlook Mail Contacts auto sync but gmail contacts do not. Gmail calendar syncs. Because there is no "Sync Settings" option, I have no way of changing setting. For whatever it's worth, the old tab is running Android version 4.0.4 and the Tab 2 is running 4.1.2
