Help Galaxy Alpha: Change imei on engineering mode

Not open for further replies.
I think I bought a fake galaxy alpha and iemi is blacklisted on the network.
I was searching around and found out that you can change iemi by entering into engineering mode.
If anyone could give me a hand, that would be lovely.

The obvious question is "why is the IMEI blacklisted?". Usually it's because the phone has been reported stolen. Sometimes because of non-payment of a contract which included a subsidised phone, but that's unlikely because carriers don't sell fakes. So while I'm not suggesting that you've done anything wrong, I hope you can see that there may be a problem with answering the question.

Also where I am, in the UK, it is explicitly illegal to change IMEI of a phone.

i dont know how this guy stole the phone, when i bought it i was provided with everything in the box even the box itself.
I was suspecting something was wrong cuz i paid 300 for it. It might be a fake or stolen, who knows. I got it fixed anyway. thank you for the support
