Galaxy Camera! WOW

Has anyone seen the new Galaxy Camera? It seems like an S3 with a huge camera on the back.

It's got a 1.4GHz quad core processor, 4.77" HD display and Jelly Bean.

This is the first (that I know of) dedicated compact camera with Android OS on board.

Check it out:

I think I like it :)

21x optical zoom - nice!
16.3 megapixels

This isn't a new concept - I've had this Nokia Symbian Phone for years.

sorry but your images aren't showing up for some reason. But when I went to quote you I obtained the URL for your flickr photo.

LOL. Maybe it's not a new concept but that's not quite the same implementation as the Galaxy Camera. It looks like someone's stuffed their phone into the back of a box brownie or something.

The Galaxy Camera can use your S3 as a remote viewfinder.

It looks like a great piece of kit, but I think the price will put a lot of people, probably including me, off. Looks like something near the

I don't quite see the point..
If i've got an S3, I probably don't need an android OS running on my camera. I've got all my apps and functionality already.

Crossmr, I think the idea is that you get a great camera that also has the ability to utilize android apps to augment and post your pics...or to upload them to cloud storage sites.

Personally I'm very interested in this camera. I'd love to have what sounds like a really good camera along with android capabilities. What I'm worried about is price and the fact that it's an AT&T exclusive. I don't want a data plan on a camera (no plans to pay monthly for a camera). If it's reasonably priced (for what you get) and I can buy it without the data plan, count me in.
