Help Galaxy Centura Internet Problems

I bought a galaxy centura on the Straight Talk plan this past week, and I just got my internet turned on at my home yesterday, I connected my new phone to my internet, it says it connected, I have full bars that change from grey to blue and has arrows going through it, but I cannot do anything through wifi, it wont load any webpages, or connect to my facebook, its acting like its not connected to the internet at all but I still have full bars of wifi. I;ve had to turn off my wifi and switch back to using my data plan, but I'm worried I'm going to reach my limit if I cant get my wifi figured out.

Switch data off when you're trying wifi. Otherwise it sounds as if you have a local-only connection, which is one of the most difficult things to troubleshoot even if the person troubleshooting it is there. Over the net like this it's all wild guesses.

Are you getting an IP address in the phone? Are the first 3 sets of numbers of the IP address in the phone the same as the first 3 sets of numbers of the IP address of a laptop or desktop connected to that router?

Are you sure you're connecting to YOUR router, not to a neighbor's router? (There can be many routers in one area with the same name.) Try connecting with the phone only a foot or two from your router.

(See what I mean about wild guesses? These are some of the first things I would try if I were there, trying to fix the problem for you.)
