Help Galaxy devices (S5 and Note 5) running Android 5.1.1 fail RADIUS authentication (Wi-Fi)

When I tested connections to our corporate WiFi, my personal device (Galaxy Note 4, Android 5.0.1) was able to authenticate without issue; however, Mantis’ phone (Galaxy S5, Android 5.1.1) cannot connect. Mantis can connect through my phone with his user account. The issue appears to be that Mantis’ and Grasshopper's phones are submitting an incorrect authentication type to the RADIUS server, resulting in rejection. Grasshopper’s phone (Galaxy Note 5, Android 5.1.1) gets the same error. A sample of the error follows:
