Galaxy nexus battery...

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place(yes, I am somewhat of a noob), but I got my Nexus yesterday set up a couple things(literally) then the battery was dead. I fully charged the phone again, played 1 turn of words with friends, sent a couple tweets, checked my email, and made ONE phone call and my battery is 3/4 depleted! Can anyone help or have any advice for a newcomer? I had my inc2 that I HEAVILY used and had to charge like once every 2-3 days.... Is there an extended OEM that will still make use of NFC? I don't get why this is draining so fast! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for my ignorance, and again I'm new to a very high-end phone like this... Thank you in advance.

I had the same problem. At first, my new Nexus couldn't recognize 4G signal. I had to power cycle it, and then select 3G, then back to 4G and it worked. I charged it to 100% before I went to bed. I turned off wifi, bluetooth, sync and location services. No apps were running in the background, and yet it still was dead when I woke up. I bought it at Costco and they are out of stock to replace it. Since I got it there Verizon will not support it. I called Samsung and they said I could mail it in under warranty and they would fix it and return it to me in 30 days. Total crapfest. It sounds like I am not the only person to get a lemon. I accepted the OTA software update, and am currently trying a factory restart. Way to go Samsung. If I end up returning or keeping this thing you can be assured that I will never buy one of your shit products again.
