Help Galaxy nexus getting hot??

I'm coming from an iphone 4, so I am not too familiar with android devices, but I noticed that the back of the nexus gets pretty warm/hot after only about a minute of use - screen on, browsing web, facebook, texting, etc on 3g/4g

Is this normal behavior? It cools down once I shut the screen off, but my old iphone would only start to get hot if I was doing something data intensive for a long while.

Yeah same here, I just asumed it was the display getting hot

Mine gets warm too, especially if I'm using it while it's plugged in. It's not uncomfortable, just noticable.
