Galaxy nexus on 3g

You should be able to use Skype on your phone to do video calling. I don't know if Skype comes standard with the Nexus, but if not, it is a free download from the market. To use Skype, it will be free to call a computer, but you will have to open an account and pay a cheap fee per minute to use it. Your phone, the nexus, will have to have a data plan to use Skype as it does not work over the voice network, only data.

I think the question was: "I live in India and only have connection to 3g speeds. 4g is not available. Will skype work for me over 3g?"

Answer: YES it will work for you over 3g

sir
Native video calling feature on GALAXY NEXUS .On the other hand the Samsung Galaxy S has this feature by default. The GALAXY NEXUS has a front facing VGA camera and supports 3g,

And when I say video call I don't mean VoIP using an application; I mean video calling (video telephony) over the mobile service provider network, exactly the same as what is in the Samsung Galaxy S ( and most mobiles that have a front camera and 3g. "all Nokias"). So you can check it in Galaxy sand compare it with the GALAXYNexus in order to add this feature. PLS ANY ONE HELP ME

Also Skype is not the only Video chat app, Google Talk, Fring (I think?) and others have this also.

Skype is also owned by Microsoft, so it may not be available someday. I would think Google Talk is your best bet.

I too would like to know how to make or receive native video calls on my Galaxy Nexus(Not VOIP calls). I'm currently unable to receive video calls from any other handsets. My Australian cellular network provider (Telstra) alows unlimited free video calling and I have made video calls without an issue with other handsets in the past. Is there an app that can make native video calling possible on the Gnex?

Pls help!

Yes, Skype - works perfect over 3G and is rock solid (subject to network signal quality!!!). I am using it to call family and friends in Europe as well as the Middle-East. The app is free from the market/play store.
