Help Galaxy Nexus RAM 1G?

Sorry I am a Newbie, but when I go to Settings->Apps->Running, it shows how much RAM it's using and how much is free. I am wondering why it's not showing 1 GB?

My total used+free = only 695MB :confused:

Anybody?
 
Many internal reporting tools on the phone are reporting it as 768MB. I trust Google that there really is 1GB of RAM in the phone, perhaps 256MB is just reserved for specific purposes like video.
 
The reason you will never see 1gb of ram isnt because its not there its. The operating system and phone resources I dont know the exact breakdown is allocated to use that. and the 768mb or what ever your showing is useable for movies and applications that you have running in background
