Help Galaxy Note 1 Has Multiple Charging Issues

In addition to this new problem that has been ongoing now for the last 2 weeks, I originally came here to get help with this issue: http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note/849768-galaxy-note-1-doesnt-like-certain-chargers.html.. And I'm still hoping for some answers though that thread has died.

Now, my phone is taking up to 6 hours to charge to 100%, which is getting a little impossible because I need to use my phone. I usually turn it on around 50% to check texts, voicemails, etc. then turn it back off so it can continue charging. I have noticed it takes about 2 hours after that to get to 60%. Now when the battery says its at 100% I turn it on. Once its on, the battery will say its really at 79% (give or take a few percentages) so I turn it off and plug it back in to charge and it continues to charge from there. It does not charge anymore while its turned on, instead it charges "backwards", so my car charger is pretty much useless now.
All Samsung has done is tell me to factory reset my phone which is their answer for everything. I purchased an OEM battery from eBay which has a date stamped on it of April of this year that the seller claims is the battery's manufacturer date.
I have not seen my phone with a full battery in a week. What is causing my phone to have all these horribly inconvenient battery and charging issues?

I take it from your posts that your are turning the phone off while charging.
I will try to dind the source online, but I read somewhere that not all microUSB cables are the same. Either try another out or get a Samsung USB cable. Also, I use a wall charger. I don't charge from my vehicle or computer unless there is no alternative.
There are some clever knock offs on batteries out there. I don't buy from a source unless I have at least a 30 day return policy. Amazon costs a little more but has much better customer service.
The ES Task Group that makes the free ES File Explorer has another app called ES Task Manager which has several ttols for tweaking your phone to optimize battery use.
