The loading indicator stops part way along.
How do I know which version of android I am using.
I use default everything.
Thanks

If it finishes loading, look in settings->About Phone->software.
Otherwise you are not using any version.

Tap on Settings, tap on the General tab, on the left scroll down to About device and tap on it, then on the right look at Android version. I'm showing 4.4.4

You just asked how to find your Android version.
Your internet problem could be your router/access point, your ISP, any number of things.
You have given no information that would suggest anything.

I'll have to play around with mine to find the Chrome version I have. Now that I think about it I'm having problems connecting to Wifi for surfing as well. I wont be able to check until tomorrow but when I do I'll post step by step of how I got connected and browsing again.

just sitting at home where the phone company provides a modem. wifi.
works fine on the other win7 computers

I tried every non-root option I could find and did not find a solution. So I bit the bullet and did a Factory data reset. That cleared it up and I'm connecting to Wifi without any issues. I went into Settings, then the General Tab, then tapped on Backup and reset, Then making sure Back up my data was checked I tapped on Factory data reset.
