Help Galaxy Note 2 lag issues after update to new firmware

The note 2 has started to lag after I installed a new update of 88 mb a couple of days ago. The screen is laging during transition. My memory usage now starts at 900 mb vs 575-600 mb earlier. Also the browser has started to lag as well.. Anybody know how to switch back to thw older version??? Please help

Hello and welcome, av1982.

You likely don't need to revert to the pre-update version of the OS.

Do a back up then factory data reset, the reset via the main menu, settings, then "back up and reset." Then, if/when the update comes around again, remove cache and data from 3rd party apps and do a cache partition wipe via the recovery menu.

Things will run quite well after the update, then. ;)

is there any chance you have a link to explain how to do a cache partition wipe via the recovery menu.
i would like to have that for future reference.
