Galaxy Note 3 alternatives?

[MohnJadden]

So I'm toying with getting the Note 3 but to be honest, I only want it for the screen size, LTE (HSPA+ is okay but I know better can be had) and faster processor (Hi10p video benefits greatly - as in is actually playable - according to http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...did-i-think-z1-808-s4-cam-comparison-too.html).

I seriously don't care about the S Pen and would much rather have a vanilla Android experience, or as close to it, as I can get. Is there anything out there close to the Note 3 coming down the pipe or available now that meets or exceeds those requirements? I don't mind buying a Chinese device or whatnot if it comes down to it.

Most common alternatives I've seen mentioned are the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, LG G2, and HTC One Max. Haven't evaluated any of them extensively as I was sold on the Note 3.

i've read about Blu, which seems interesting for an unlocked phone. the studio is a 5.3" screen. i personally had poor luck with a chinese knockoff, threw some money down the toilet.

Studio 5.3s

Well, if we're looking down the piple, the Nexus 5 should be out before the end of the year.
