Galaxy Note 3 not charging on wall

I used my phone under the rain, and as soon as I enter my apartment, I plugged it in. I guess it was still wet, and some internals were affected. Phone stopped charging 10 minutes later.

I cleaned the charging port with a brush, and now:
a) connected to my computer (500 mA) the battery charges ok.
b) connected to the wall (1600 ma), the charging symbol shows up, but it doesnt actually charge.

I tried 5 different chargers and cables, no luck.

I also realized that windows would not recognize my cellphone, so my conclusion is that the usb port is dead. I just ordered a new one at ebay and will replace it.
