How To Galaxy Note 4: How to change keyboard

The Galaxy Note 4 by default comes with both Samsung's standard keyboard and Swype preinstalled. You may also choose to download additional alternate keyboards to obtain the typing experience you prefer. Here is how to enable your desired keyboard and select as your input method.

To enable a keyboard:

  1. From the Settings menu navigate to "Language and input" under the "System" header
  2. Check the box next to the keyboard(s) you wish to enable
Pro Tip: The settings gear icon next to each keyboard's name will open the app-specific settings for each input method. This is where you will need to go to change themes, input options, and more.

To select your desired keyboard as your input method:

  1. When in a text a field, look for the keyboard icon in the notification bar
  2. Swipe down the notifications pane and tap "Choose input method"
  3. Select the desired keyboard
The Note 4 will default to the last keyboard selected, so after choosing your preferred input method you should not have to worry about changing your selection unless you wish to use a different keyboard.
