How To Galaxy Note 4: how to multitasking

This resource created by Phandroid.com Contributing Editor Kevin Krause as part of an Official Series of beginner tutorials for Android Forums.

Like all Android devices, the Galaxy Note 4 has multitasking capabilities built directly into it core functionality. Switching between open apps is as easy as pressing the dedicated hardware soft key (the "recents" key) located to the left of the Note 4's home button.

Pressing the multitasking button allows you to scroll through all recently open apps, tapping to jump directly into app of your choosing. Multitasking can be accessed from any screen.

Individual apps can be closed by swiping them out of the stack of open apps. All apps can be closed at once by tapping the button at the lower right of the multitasking screen (the icon looks like a list with an 'X' over it).

More advanced multitasking features are available through the Note 4's Multi Window mode.
