Galaxy note 4 update to android 6

One of the things I hate about Samsung is they have so many models of the same device. Firmware is model number specific because they use different hardware (processor)in different parts of the world. Some are GSM only and some have CDMA capabilities.
I think determining what you actually have will be a challenge.
Best of luck.

yes failed at same place,

With the build prop altered to show it as a 910F and has a mixture of 910F and 910P firmware, don't think there is anything you can do with it.
I guess it's easier to sell as a international unlocked phone, F model, than what it actually is. Sorry you got stuck with it.

Good deal! Usually, once the model number has been changed, no firmware will work because of the conflicting information. Guess we can call it a N910P.

I can see this with an OTA or using Smart Switch, but if you are downloading a complete firmware image and flashing it with Odin, wouldn't it replace the buildprop file as well with the default Sprint version?

It should. The other two I tried to help with, a modified Verizon and AT&T variant, firmware flash with Odin would always fail. I'll look for the other threads and post a link.

Yes, but the hardware wouldn't match since it was originally a Sprint model, and that I could see Odin choking.

@GSX1400 glad you finally were able to get it updated. Just curious, with the Sprint stock firmware, does it still work with your sim?

Wish I knew more about how Odin works.
I think it looks at the model number some how and says that the firmware matches so lets start flashing. During the flash, it figures something is not right and aborts.
Over my head.
