Help tried to flash it can't see. To find free firmware that's good to download so I can use Odin to flash new firmware on it when it boots up now it goes to factory binary

ok lets get some background info. what were you trying to do? is the phone rooted? are you just trying to update the phone?

the more info you can provide us the better.
 
A friend had the phone and tried to root it . It didn't work and then they tried other firmware and of course that didn't work so then I got it and tried to root it with a combination. File and tried twrp as well and on my co.outer it says pass on the Odin screen the phone reboots and factory binary pops on I can get to my settings but limited function available
 
if you have twrp than we might be on to something. if not then i'm not sure what can be done. there just not a lot of info out there for note 5 model:n920w8vlu5ara1
 
Ya tell me about it lol I've tried tarp but either its how I'm trying to flash it onto the phone threw Odin or I've downloaded a bunk software, I'm guessing both lol. Is there a solid site where to find reliable software that's free or do I have to pay, ,and I have suitable downloads of firmware from other sites and from my friend who asked me to try and fix it, I'm gonna delete all that including Odin ,twrp and firmware and start from 0, Or I seen that I might be able to install a S8 os onto the galaxy note 5? Will that brink it?

yes, never flashing anything unless you know what you are doing. flashing things not meant for you device is a sure way to brick it.

ust find your model and follow directions. once you get twrp make sure that any roms you flash will work for your model number. just read and follow directions.
