Galaxy Note 5 Waterproof?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was my first Galaxy Note- and I loved it. Then I reviewed both the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Note 4. For the most part, I loved both of them. I love the large screen and the stylus- can't go back to something smaller than 5-inches. But I was super disappointed the Galaxy Note 4 wasn't water resistant like the Galaxy S5. I think that was my biggest disappointed.

So my question: will the Galaxy Note 5 be waterproof? If not, will you still buy it (obviously depends on what else is out there)? And if so, will you buy it hands down?

With Apple finally increasing their phone size and LG joining in on the stylus battleground, Samsung no longer has the only warrior on the Phablet with Stylus battlefield. This is one of my most curious questions of 2015... the phablet scene in general that is. If Apple ever introduces stylus support it could REALLY change things but I don't think they will.

I'm thinking the S-Pen makes it a bit hard to claim waterproofness but I'll bet they can overcome that with just a little engineering.

That won't be a make or break feature for me.

Other phones coming out with a stylus? If they have the same great features (screen edit, etc) then I will definitely look at them. I'm not sure I want to say the stylus is the one thing that's kept me on the Note series since the 2, but I will say it darn sure played a huge role in it.

I find the ease of screen-drawing and s-note a requirement for me.

I'm not interested in waterproof phones unless they come STOCK OEM with wireless QI charging. I don't want to have to peel back a waterproof port every time to charge my phone. I'll just lay it on the mat to charge. the problem is...the wireless QI cover for the Note 4 makes it change dimensions, so most all the cases don't fit it correctly.

If it comes standard with wireless charging...then I might be interested :)

They can overcome it by using flap/plugs like those used in Notebooks or portable computing. The material will need to create a seal with the body. The other issue is it's going to be a silicone/rubber compound to do it. And dependent on usage and material will crack, deteriorate and decompose over time. Of course, by that time, most would have probably upgraded their phones, DIY repairs or send it in under warranty whichever comes first.

I was disappointed and annoyed that the Note 4 was not waterproof! Espcially after hearing the S6 was waterproof. I will not get the Note 5 if it's not waterproof. I really love the big screen but I'll settle with a phone that has a smaller screen if it is waterproof.

Samsung Note 5 is not waterproof and If you will say the only thing waterproof is matters , then you are making big mistake . Right now I am using Galaxy Note 4 and I am really happy because it is much better than S5. Now I am planning to buy the Note 5 but right now It is quite expensive for me that's why waiting for the price to be reduced within months or weeks.

The S6 isn't Waterproof at all while the S5 had this feature. Now the latest Samsung Flagship the Galxy S7 is waterproof. However you can make your Note 5 waterproof by applying this plastic cover
