Help Galaxy Note I717-AT&T Broken Speakerphone

Lately my speaker phone has stopped working. I can hear the other party, but my voice they cannot hear. I cleaned the microphone area and the earphone connection as well with same results. Could this be a problem with the micro-usb board? I tried using compressed air to clean the earphone jack and it worked for about 2 calls then back to nothing on their end. Any Ideas? I'm almost out of my 2 year contract (3 more months) and not sure what phone I'll like as much for the next one.

Sounds more like an intermittent contact on the switch on the earphone jack, but someone would have to open the phone and check it to make sure.

I'm pretty good with electronics, but have been reluctant to crack this thing open. I've watched some of the YouTube videos on how to open it and may give it a go later this week. Thanks for your reply...
