Galaxy Note Pen doesnt work on another android device.

Hi,
I use the Pen from Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 to another android, in this case a HTC android. But it doesnt work. Could you tell me the secret technology behind this pen ?

I believe that the Note has special software that recognises the stylus. That software is likely not on non-Note devices. The stylus's interaction with a touch screen is going to have different properties than say a finger. You need special software to interpret that interaction. Unless the device is expected to interact with that particular stylus, it is unlikely that the software for the device will be able to recognise the stylus properly.

The Note has a special Wacom digitizer that's designed to work with the pen/stylus, so it can be pressure sensitive. Useful if you're doing drawing and things.

I've heard the main reason is the digitizer on the Note is actually a higher resolution than most other phones to let it use the stylus. That's why the tip of the Note stylus is able to be so small. And why it doesn't work on other phones, it just goes between the digitizer sensors without being picked up because it's too small for the phone to "see."
