Galaxy prevail and moisture

I've had the samsung galaxy prevail boost mobile for about a month. This morning it wasn't staying on. The screen would turn on, then shut right off. I took it back to Radio Shack and was told the battery had a red line on it which indicated there was moisture, but it absolutely was not wet in the least. Help! Does anyone have any tips or advice for me, or is the phone worthless?

I had same thing for a bit and i think its due to where i live and putting it in my pocket so i read somewhere where it said put it in dry rice overnight to suck out moister
worked like a charm
(KEY WORD DRY RICE NOT COOKED ) i know im going to get hits on this.
no there was no beans with or chicken and not on beer number 15 while doing that
