Galaxy S 2 Headset Controls.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S 2 and v-moda, one button earphones. I NEED to be able to use the one button to control my music at anytime like (play/pause, skip/previous track, and maybe volume controls). Right now all it knows what to do is use the phone caller commands. This is why i loved my ipod touch:mad:, because i felt the power of three spider monkeys put together, now i need to feel that power in my SGS2. Obviously this is a huge major issue and needs to be addressed now. Thanks so much.:)

My Galaxy S one button has play/pause function when there is no call active with stock player.

Just buy PowerAmp on the Market. It has headset controls option that allows play/pause, prev, next using one button.

No, it should work. I don't even use the stock headset for my phone and it works, plus the S2 runs on Gingerbread, and I have Gingerbread on my phone. Have you set the Headset controls to override phone controls in PowerAMP?

I have the headset controls set to high priority and it still goes to the phone. I'm using the trial version does that have anything to do with it?

What kind of S2 do you have? Some sort of carrier specific version from T-Mobile or something? Or something that you have acquired from a carrier via contract? because that would mean its using a firmware altered by your carrier, which means that the headset control could be broken.

Im not entirely sure what you all meant, but my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4g Touch, the sprint version 2 year contract, the controls work only for the phone part. Do you think its the phone or the app? And what could i do about it? Also i have been using different headsets to test it out.

You are using a specific Galaxy S2 made to Sprint's specifications, with different hardware and software compared to the international versions released outside the US. It may be that the software used by Sprint for the phone does not have the capability you want. The international versions have the capability you seek.

I don't think you can do anything about it other than get a different phone or an S2 from a different network, or root it and install modified software.

I recently changed my iphone for the [far superior] Samsung Galaxy S2 [smartphone of the year award 2011 in UK] - Most in-line controls on headphones [if not all] are solely designed [unjustly] for Apple. I had 3 different headsets for my [previous] iphone and NONE of them performed ALL their functions on the Samsung, SO... after loads of trial-and-error, and this may be Samsung Galaxy S2 or S3 specific but the "Headset Button Controller" on Google play [
