galaxy s 3 broken screen

don't know how it was broke but the screen on my galaxy s 3 t mobile was shattered, it wont turn on or light up, but it does get warm when plugged into a charger. what does this mean and can it be fixed? if so what would be a cheap way of fixing it?

You can probably get a screen/glass on ebay, or someplace on line that sells parts for a Galaxy S3. They are a popular model.
