Help Galaxy s apps prob

Hi, just got my Galaxy S and can download apps from the market but I then get a message "installing" with a green and white moving bar but this stays forever and the app doesn't install, can anyone help please before I have to send it back??

This is working well but I have to clear the cache after every 2 or 3 apps, is there anything I can do about that??

There should be no need to do that every 2-3 apps.

I will move this thread to the phone section as you will get more help there.

1. Reboot the phone.
2. Clear Market and Market Storage cache.

Pardon my ignorance, but exactly how do I "Clear Market and Market Storage cache"?

In my top bar, which I open by pulling down, I have in Notifications "Download unsuccessful". This happens both with Wi-Fi and with 3G. I have deleted Market, and it seemed to re-install itself automatically. I'm currently trying to download Dropbox as a workaraound for Kies not working.

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Menu (button) -> View -> All apps -> Market

Otherwise, cancelling the download and then restarting it for a few times work quite nicely too.
