Help Galaxy S as a 3g modem

Has anybody been able to use thier Galaxy S as a 3g modem for their computer. I occassionally use my Sony 850i as a modem for my laptop, and would want to use the Galaxy S in a similar way. However, I have read various reports of people having difficulty connecting the phone to a computer let alone managing to use it as a modem. Has anybody actually been able to do this yet?

Yep - not problem. I just set the phone USB connection to PC connection - connected via the usb cable and it did the rest.

curious - did you get it to tether without any app like PDAnet? - i'm still waiting for thursday so i can pick mine up

hi is it possible for your phone to be a modern via bluetooth..(without usb cords etc)).. and if so...could to ipads /laptops use the internet at the same time?? thanks franky

I have unlimited data on my phone plan, will it cost me to use Mobile AP as a wifi hotspot?
