Help galaxy s low ram

why is it we have 326 random access memorie ram and why cant find full amount on specs thanks

From what I've read on other sites, its because the rest is used up as VGA buffers for the graphics hardware in the phone. Seems like a lot for graphics but there you go, maybe Samsung will optimize it in a future firmware release.

Eclair cannot take full advantage of all the available ROM. And some of the RAM is occupied by the android OS.
