Root Galaxy S Plus (I9001) hangs while flashing

CueTip

Lurker
After trying the regular firmware update using Samsung KIES it got stuck at 3% loading to phone. I removed the phone and guess what: BSOD.
After search on internet i downloaded ODIN multi v4.43 with AriesVE.ops. I also downloaded the latest firmware i could find: I9001XXKQE_I9001XENKP2_I9001XXKPL_HOME.tar.md5
When using ODIN to flash fw to the phone it seems to get stuck at:
<1> amss.mbn download..
the timer now is already passed 1000 min.
Please tell me what i can do to move on and get my phone working again

oh, the progress bar in ODIN is green for a very small part. My guess it is the same 3% "limit" that stopped KIES. Could it be some kind of USB transfer limit or something like that?

First switch odin to 1.85 or even 3.04, verify you have a proper stock rom, don't use what you have already tried, use this to locate the correct firmware for your location The webversion of Check Fus 2.0

you should have no problem as it is still in download mode, so flash again but make sure kies is not running
