Help Galaxy S Plus Ringtone problem

Labid

Lurker
Hi,
My Samsung Galaxy S Plus GT i 9001 does not sound during incoming calls but if I restart the phone then it rings again but after a few hours it goes silent though the silent mode is set as enabled. Only restart solves the problem then again it is back. Please suggest what can i do. I have checked all the options in the phone but no remedy.

Please help

Hello,

Have you found a solution yet to your ringtone problem?

If so, please tell me how to solve this, as I have the same problem as you have... :(

Thanks!

I've had this problem and only switching it off and restarting will resolve it. Also though I found that none of the music I have on my phone, songs or ringtones would play. Kept saying "sorry this file not supported".

Have you set a ringtone for notifications and calls? You can then tell the phone vibrate only if you don't want a ring.

Also on the SGS, you had to put a folder on the card and put your ringtones and media in it. There are instructions on this site somewhere. Think the folder was called Audio. I had to use it since I prefer MID ringtones. It will see MP3 ringtones also.

I don't know what TMO media hub does since I rooted the phone and froze it.
but to get the few MP3s I have on the phone to play as MP3, using built in music player, I had to transfer them to the Sound folder. Apparently, you can't link.
