Help Galaxy S Three Button Recovery now works with 2.2

Since my Galaxy S phone was brought back to life after it bricked and would not respond the Three Button Recovery now works and takes it to download mode.

Has this happened to others after the upgrade to 2.2 or did they install something else when they fixed it? Is this normal for all 2.2 upgrades?

It was the same for me, originally I couldn't get into recovery with the 3 button method. My phone bricked during the official update, and after being fixed and updated by Samsung the 3 button method now works! I cant understand why they disabled it in the first place, if they hadn't I could have restored my phone myself instead of having to get them to do it!

is not niee...but they seems to change bootloaders for make us to not use odin..or others software to flash the Galaxy S...just Kies..if u change bootloader u will lose your waranty..u need a jig to get in download mode

What warranty?

I called Samsung today to ask them some questions and the rep I talked to told me I didn't have a warranty because I didn't buy my phone from a
local/national service provider!!!

A friend of mine has the same problem, but I updated the phone and did it with kies. Weird thing was that it alredy was impossible to do it when she got it...
