I have a galaxy s11 16gb but only shows 12.50gb and system 1.97gb is this right? I have not done anything other than root then unroot and have not ever had and pit file flashed.

Yes that's right. The "missing" 1.53 Gig is, I believe,taken by your ROM and Kernel in a separate partition. The 1.97 Gig is for apps and the rest is free space.
