Kind of, but it won't happen.
Emulating those games are near impossible.
Another problem you run into is hardware buttons. PSX/N64 and up aren't worth playing on phones, IMO, their are just two many things going on and too many abilities that require the different buttons.
Unlikely but I expect that to change when Quads come to the market IF the code is well done that is.is the galaxy s2's specs capable of playing ps2 and xbox games?

Quake 3 which is a ps2 game and pc game runs at 80 Fps on EVO 3D/Sensation Adreno 220 gpu and SGII Exynos gpu is pretty much tied in power..
He's basing everything off of this (which I told him is incorrect):

So I think its fair to say it should be able to run quite a few ps2 games and maybe non high end xbox games. Ah man if we could play Disgaea I know we can run that no problem. Actually is an android version in Japan its more of an item world game than full campaign.
Not quite, taking all the benchmarks worth running into consideration Mali 400MP is faster than Adreno 220.
Nenamark 2, Electopia and GLBenchmark, even taking into consideration the resolution difference it is not on par.

I think we all agree, we just talking about different areas. Actual Chip performance vs phone performance .
Of course HTC have not helped themselves with the increased resolution and resource hog interface.
I love Sense and the screen resolution, but Sense has to go. When the UI is using up 75% of your available RAM and 75% of your internal memory it does slow performance down on other things. After playing around with my sisters EVO again I don't think I can go back to the lower resolution screens. Quad cores will definately help with the higher resolutions in the future though, if they prove to be efficient.

If anyone doubts the performance of Mali 400MP, install the latest version of Chainfire (Pro version needed) and enable MSAA, even with 16xMSAA enabled in most games you still don't notice any performance hit and it looks awesome, barely any hit at all with 4xMSAA.
Riptide GP with 4xMSAA, performance is still good.
Not sure what you mean by that, Cortex A9 in Exynos is faster clock for clock and Mali 400GP is faster than Adreno 220.
Surely performance of the SoC equals better phone performance if all things are equal?

They also lowered the chip from 1.5ghz which it was originally suppose to be before HTC underclocked it. Benchmarks outside of the device show that they are pretty much tied one has adreno 220 one point higher. So root should increase performance a lot after all the changes htc made.
I'm talking about the chip not the phone because phone manufacters can change the performance. But with root we can tweak it back.
Also those results are from users which could very well be rooted
