Help Galaxy S2 heats up

Hello,

So I have a Galaxy S2 I love dearly.

Problem is some weeks ago it started to heat up intensely and the battery obviously runs down.

Sometimes the temps reach 51c degrees and battery will lose 1% per 1-2 minutes.

GSam Battery Monitor is the one reporting on the temp.

When the phone is not connected to the Internet then I would say it acts normally. I think that with 3G it heats and eats battery more than with WiFi, because sometimes also with WiFi it acts normally, at least for a couple of hours.

Sometimes it takes a long long time for it to cool down. Even if I'm not connected to the net.

I suspect it's one of the apps (makes sense?) but how do I know which one?

At the moment GSam Battery Monitor shows 100% use of battery with:
43.6% Kernel
21.8% Android Core Apps
10.2% Android System
5.4% Viber
2.2% System (*wakelock*)
1.5% Phone
1.5% Gmail

and the rest are lower but that's changing. Sometimes I have much less use of battery and it's still heated and battery killing.

Sometimes I have 100% battery use with a totally different split.

Any clues?

Thanks!
