S2 only gets to startup screen then nothing. It will not even accept battery charging via USB. Both Kies and Odin cannot usually recognise the USB device, same as Windows 7. Occasionally Windows7 recognises this device as "Samsung USB CDC Composite device" so I start up Odin3.07, use the Stockplus .tar file but it only gets as far as "Firmware Update STart, then zImage" then nothing. Is this the right .tar file, as I cannot find an ICS .tar file that does not have a .md5 extension to it? I need the photos from a recent overseas trip, what can I do? All help appreciated. Thanks.
