Help Galaxy S2 issues.

Hi,

I was directed here by another forum member.

I got a message from AT&T a couple weeks ago saying I can now upgrade my OS to ICS. I had a couple hours today and I decided to do that. I followed the steps, downloaded Kies, etc.

Now for some reason my computer is not connecting to my phone. It doesn't show up in my devices, and I cannot access the files. Not only that, but during the upgrade procedure, after Kies was finished downloading the files, the updating status stays at 0%.

I left that on for a couple hours and nothing happened. It's still at 0%. I unplugged my phone and booted it up and now it brings me to some message saying something like "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."

I did this and again, 0%. Now my phone is #$%ed. My computer wont detect it, and although I am pretty tech savvy, I am stuck.

Here's what I think: something might have happened to my drivers to corrupt them? Or maybe it's something on my phone's side. I dont know. Please help!

Here's what I see:

First things first, redownload the USB drivers for the phone. A Google search will provide u with the correct drivers. Secondly, uninstall samsung kies and then reinstall it. Open up kies and using the supplied USB cable plug ur phone into the PC. There are options in kies that will walk u through emergency firmware recovery.
