I'm actually a little disappoiinted they havent increased the screen resolution.

Likewise if true. Nothing's set in stone until a few days time but it seems odd to keep going with 800x480

Is this confirmed? Ive heard several different cpu specs

They are supposedly keeping the processor ambiguous and guesses are that the Orion/Exynos processor may have limited supply and certain markets might just receive some other processor instead.
