Help Galaxy S2 Lte Desktop Manager?

Hey guys im planning on getting a samsung galaxy s2 lte from rogers. and im wondering is their a desktop manager like iphone has for itunes and blackberry has for blackberries. how do you back up your device and contacts etc. and how do you do hardware upgrades like software. etc

can anyone help with my questions?

Samsung has their Kies software. Updates for apps and OS can be done over the air. Contacts, etc. can synced with your Google account. Many folks use Titanium Backup to back everything up. Picking up my Skyrocket tomorrow and I plan on using Titanium.
