Help Galaxy S2 Notification Sound

Hello,

I got my Galaxy S2 a week ago and the notifications were working fine but now I don't get alerted to a new notification any more. I don't know what the problem is and I'm wondering if you could help me.

Hey David, wondering if you sound settings are okay? Menu > Settings > Sounds ---- There should be an option for different types of sounds (phone, notifications)... From there you should be able to drag the slider for the volume. If that's not it, maybe the sound profile got switched?

By any chance to change any Sync settings or network settings or install any app that monitor data usage ? There are apps that stop background data use, perhaps that's the case. You will need to provide more details, as app update notification or new mail in your gmail account, has to be dealt with in very different manners.
