Help Galaxy s2 sent in - everything changed!?!?

Hi guys! My jack stopped working so I sent my galaxy s2 in for fixing. Everything is fine, but they completely changed everything on my phone, it says the current android version is 4.1.2. What does this mean??

I did some research and I believe it's jelly bean? Not sure. Anyways - I've heard there is face recognition to unlock my phone, but I can't find it under screen lock or security, help please?

Thank you!!

Its not on every phone. It is jellybean. It could break some apps if installed before if they are still on phone. Reinstall or choose new ones. Jb has different look and feel on some things

Mine is under Location & Security -> Change Screen Lock menu. I'm running GB 2.3.6...I got it when it upgraded to ver 2.3.6.

You do have the latest version of JB now.

I don't have location & security, I have separate option for screen lock, security, and location. None have the face recognition - is there a different way to get it?

I did as the video said, but once I click security, there's no screen lock button. The screen lock button is under its own tab called lock screen, and my only options for the screen lock are: swipe, motion, pattern, pin, password, none.

Something is wrong here?

Hm, that's odd. There should be a Face Unlock option between motion and pattern.

What variant of the S2 do you have?

Edit: I looked it up, and apparently Face Unlock was removed from some (if not all) variants of the S2. To get it, I'd suppose that you'd have to download custom ROM or install a zip carrying the face unlock feature in it.

Alright - was it removed because it wasn't working correctly or something?

If it isn't bad; can you link me somewheres showing how to get it?

Most people weren't using it. In my opinion, it wsn't very secure. It was more of a "Hey iSheep, look at what I can do on my phone" kinda thing for me.

If you provide which carrier you're using your Galaxy S2 on, I can redirect you to the appropriate forum. :)
