Galaxy S2 stuck on welcome screen

Hello I own a galaxy S2 running android ISC
the battery died once and when I recharged it and turned it back on it wouldnt go past the welcome screen.
I am able to go into recovery mode and download mode. I tried to backup my data through ADB but it did not work (the device was recognized as in recovery)
does anyone have a solution on how to backup my data (pictures are most important!) and will a factory reset help?

Hello, Hanounn, Welcome to the Forum.

I don't know what the problem is, or the solution. I also do not know exactly which S2 you have to point you in the direction of a forum that might help you.

We have a number of S2 subforums here, Android Phones - Android Forums

Perhaps you can find yours, by carrier, listed under Samsung Galaxy S2?

Just did a factory reset it fixed the problem and my pictures are still there just lost my contacts and apps
