Just looking for some help in fixing a Samsung Galaxy S2 t989 (T-mobile)
I'm convinced that if I change the charger port in the phone that it will fix the problem I'm having...which is: Phone won't charge despite little lightning bolt icon lights up when I attach the charger cable
In the process of trying to fix this problem, I've purchased three batteries, upgraded to Jelly Bean from GingerBread, cleaned out the ports, tried a number of charger cables, etc., etc. ( The batteries I now suspect are all good. )
I bought an inexpensive universal external battery charger thru Amazon. That should arrive soon. At this point I think if I start each day with two or three fully charged batteries I can use the phone with abandon not dreading the rapidly plunging battery percentages...it'll be like living ten years in the future, ha, ha.
As I write this I realize that I probably shouldn't even bother fixing the damn port and just go out each morning with 300% charge.
It's such a nice phone otherwise, I just can't see tossing it just yet.
So if anyone out there knows of any links to fix this I would be most appreciative for the info. I believe the solution for the t989 involves soldering.
(Different than for the i9100 which seems a lot easier.)
