Help Galaxy S2X will not power off

TonyMo

Lurker
My Galaxy S2X does not appear to totally power off.

I press and hold the Power ON/OFF button until the Flight Mode, Power Off, etc. option screen appears.

I select the Power Off option and the phone appears to power off. However, even though the screen shuts down, the button LED's/Lights located at the bottom of the screen (Settings, Home, Back, and Search) remain on, which tells me that the phone is not totally powered off as those lights draw power.

Oh, by the way, this only started yesterday and I've tried the following:
  • Clearing the RAM.
  • Removing the battery and restarting the phone.
  • Exited all apps; and
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mobile, GPS, etc are off.
Any tips, suggestions, or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

TonyMo

Kevindroid,

Thanks for the advice, however, I tried recovery too - no joy.

Weird that is started to behave this way all of a sudden.

Cheers,

TonyMo

Fixed the issue.

1. Using CWM ran the DARKSIDE Super Wipe and Cache wipe scripts.
2. Installed my original Koodo ROM (a huge shout out to Atmazzz for pointing me to the stock Koodo ROM)
3. Using CWM advanced restore option restored only the data file.

Cheers,

TonyMo
