Help Galaxy S3 and trying to flash stock rom

So I have been using cyanogenmod 12.1 and decided to flask back to stock android. I flashed using Mobile Odin and now my AT&T Galaxy S3 is running 4.0.4. I can browser the internet and download files but I can't make calls or send texts. I have a sim card inserted but it is not being recognized. Also, I can't hear audio even when I have the volume turned up all the way. The camera also just displays a black screen and crashs and i often receive a message saying the "camera failed".My AT&T Galaxy S3 originally came with android 4.4.2 Kitkat. Does this mean I have to flash that stock rom to my S3 or is there another way to fix this without flashing 4.4.2 because I have heard that it has a high chance of bricking your phone.

With the introduction of Knox the ability to downgrade to a earlier version of Android without bricking is not possible. If you originally had 4.4.2 that is what you need to flash. AT&T doesn't release the current firmware but you can find stock rooted versions on XDA that you can flash in custom recovery. I'll post a link to what I used as soon as I can. Late for work.

thanks. The thing is that I did downgrade to ICS stock for the galaxy s3 form cyanogenmod but I luckily didn't brick. The downgrade also erased my internal sd and the memory from cyanogenmod that i previously had was gone. I want to get back to complete stock galaxy s3 working perfectly from the box. Would i still flash with custom recovery or would I use odin instead. Using Mobile Odin removed my clockword mod recovery, but somehow erased previous memory of my cyanogenmod flash.

I have never used Mobile Odin but it probably does a system wipe before flash and the rom you flashed probably had stock recovery. TWRP works well with the i747 and is the most up to date. You can flash TWRP recovery tar with PC Odin then the rom in link with recovery.
When you check Settings-About phone, what is listed as your baseband and is your IMEI info correct?

Had a feeling when you said in OP that couldn't make calls but was real surprised it wasn't bricked. This is a link to earliest 4.4.2. Not knowing what exact version you were on before you went to CM 12 but may be good place to start and flash updates incremental like you would receive by OTA up to NJ2

If it doesn't resolve baseband, IMEI we can fix later with QPST or EFS Pro

I'm wondering that since it was on 4.4.2 when you took it out of the box that using Kies Software Initialization might be a better choice. You enter phone model and SN. And it should download the original version it was programmed with and reflash it.

OK, I would flash TWRP with Odin then the full firmware update in the second XDA link with TWRP. That should get you back to 4.4.2 hopefully with working known baseband. If all goes well then you can update to NJ1 then NJ2 with the first XDA link.

When you download the update zip also download the stock recovery zip. Good to have if it hangs on ATT logo and won't finish boot. Factory reset with stock recovery works.
