This is for a Galaxy S3, 4.1.2 updated. I chose to have the screen lock with password, and set the lock to become active after 30 minutes. This works fine normally, the screen switches off in 30 sec, and anytime within 30 min I can get back to the screen without pw or swiping. Well... almost anytime.
