Hey guys
About two weeks ago I was eating breakfast when I spilled the juice I was drinking. My S3 was in a bit of the wash. Mainly the charging port. I have gotten all the juice out of the back cover but I don't know about the USB port. first its been q bit difficult getting this to recognize the charger. What happens is that it normally takes about 3 seconds and now its about 7. Also every once in awhile it will be unplugged from the charger and then it will day USB connected and then disconnected.
What duo you think I should do?
I heard about getting a Cotton swab with rubbing alcohol and that should dry anything out

If you use alcohol, make sure to get the 97% variety. I'd also avoid a cotton swab... One, it's really too big to fit a micro USB jack, Two, likely to leave bits of cotton debris behind. I would find or cut down a foam electronics swab and hold your phone so the USB slot is pointing down during the cleaning. You might get lucky. The sugars in the juice may have already done the damage after two weeks. Unplug your USB charger and clean the plug while your at it. There could have been some transfer of junk.

it wasnt two weeks it was last week between wednesday and friday I cant remember what day it was exactly

Two weeks, two days, or two seconds... you need to get that cr@p out of the connector ASAP. Any liquid spill can be catastrophic to an electronic device. Left unchecked you will likely see further problems down the road.

Ok so I tried cleaning it with two different ways.
First I tried the cotton swab and Made sure nothing was sticking out.
Then I took an old usb charger and put some rubbing alcohol on the metal part and put it in the usb port in the S3.
It seems to recognize charging a bit faster but it doesnt connect to my computer. It just charges it.
What should I do?
Should I send it to Samsung for Repair (because MetroPCS wouldnt be good)
Also how long is it for the repair to take place if I send it to Samsung?
