Help Galaxy S3 help!!

So I'm looking to buy 3 Galaxy S3's because I don't know what to do with my money.

Just kidding, my whole family is apparently going Android, excluding me :evil:

I'm currently living in Canada, and my parents are in South East Asia. If I were to get a locked S3 in Canada, can I get it unlocked and will it work in Asia or maybe in any other parts of the world?

How much do unlocking usually cost?

You can usually unlock it for free at home depending on the model you get.

If yo uwant to travel with it, why not get the unlocked international version?

so you mean I can unlock it myself? Is it hard? I've never rooted or done anything to an Android before :/

I'm not travelling with it, I'm just bringing them back to Asia for my parents to use. And it's not easy to find the unlocked international version because I'm getting it from Craigslist and people lie a lot :O

I think you need to contact your carrier about getting it Unlocked, unless it's an unlocked version you should just be able to pop in a GSM SIM card and be good to go.
There are services online that can do this for a fee or you could pay for an unlocked device online, but I heard those are more expensive than the ones you get on contract.

I think you should put more effort in buying the international version and then you will not have to worry about unlocking.

Just get an unlocked version or get it unlocked in southeast Asia lol
