Help Galaxy S3 Hotspot admin

I have setup my galaxy S3 to be a hot spot. I got the internal 192.168.x.x ip number of the phone through ipconfig. I try to log on to the phones router setup and it asks me for user id and password. how do I get this user id and password?

That video shows how to use the settings from the phone, but I meant logging into the router/access point settings from a desktop like you do to a standard router. Example, for standard routers you type 192.168.0.1 from your desktop.

I have moved this thread into the S3 forum since that is where you are most likely to receive the answers you need.

I dont think there is one, strictly speaking the phone is not acting as a router, more like an access point really.

The only settings are accessible via settings -> more settings -> tethering on the phone itself.

What exactly were you looking for in the router setup pages ?

I think you may be right about not being able to connect to admin settings via desktop =(

but there is defiantly a router in the phone. access point is just a hardware that connects to multipul computers wirelessly the way that a hub/switch connects wired. router refers to 'software' that guides traffic, not the hardware. if its possible for more then one computer to connect to the hot spot then there must be a router. referring to a hub + access point + router software as router as a whole is slang.
