Galaxy s3, HTC one X or Galaxy note?

So I'm facing a bit of a dilemma here. I have a choice between either the Galaxy S3, HTC one X and Galaxy Note. the obvious choice would be the Galaxy S3, but I really hate the design of it and the HTC one X feels much more premium. The Galaxy Not's screen is just beautiful and the pen interface is especially convenient with ICS but the obvious issue is lack of quad-core. My questions are, do you really need quad-core at this moment in time, and which phone would you recommend I buy?

thanks in advance

Coming from an OG EVO I would definitely pick the HTC over the s3..... But I got a note now and I love everything about it. I its so much easier to type in portrait mode because of the extra width..

The other thing you have to consider is are you going to root the device? From my experience rooting an HTC is far easier than a samsung and there is much more support for rooted users.

Do you really need quad core? What is the processing speed of each device?

Have you had a chance to play with each device? Which one's come preloaded with ICS? I can tell you that I'm frantically waiting for an upgrade that has yet to come. Having owned both samsung and HTC I can say that the HTC (again in my experience) is built tougher. I can't even tell you how many times I dropped my EVO with no real damage.

Have you done a pros and cons list about features? What about the camera? beats audio? Gorilla glass? Free office software? Size of the battery? Same carrier? Blah blah blah.

I would go to the one place you can find all 3 devices that actually work, and like best buy, and play with each one. But in your case I'm sure you will love whatever you get.

Hey, thanks for your reply! I know how tough HTC phones are built being an owner of a HTC Desire, but that's a bit outdated now if I'm honest. The s3 has a clock speed of 1.4ghz and one x 1.5ghz, but despite this the S3's quadrant score is much higher. Also, the fact that the one X has no removable storage concerns me as I carry all my music and valuable data on a several year old 16gb sd card that would be a hassle to sort out. I think the Note would be the best option with the great screen and hopefully an ICS upgrade soon. What are you impressions of the Note, any pros and cons?
