Root Galaxy S3 - Not booting into recovery mode

Hey guys, I'm having a pretty annoying issue with my Galaxy S3 (Verizon variant), and even though I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is, and that I screwed myself, I wanna know if there's another answer to what's going on.

As the title of this thing says, I tried installing Clockworkmod Recovery on my GS3, but I did it via the ROM Manager app, since I'd totally forgotten how to do it on my computer, and Odin 3.09 wouldn't use the .tar or .img files I tried using to install the damn thing (still haven't figured that out).
Anyway, I flashed the CWM file on the phone, installed it, and whenever I try booting into recovery, it says some unauthorized software is on the phone, and I need to take it to a Verizon store.

I'm pretty sure Verizon locked us out of our bootloader, and we need to unlock it before we can make mods like this, but, being that I haven't had a GS3 for two years, I didn't know that, and didn't look it up, like a n00b.
So, I think I just partially bricked my phone. So, yeah. That sucks.
Is there any way around this? Is there a way to revert back to the stock recovery mode, so I can try doing this whole thing again?

It's the Verizon, I535 variant
Running 4.4.2, Kitkat
Build number: KOT49H.I535VRUDNE1

What about a factory reset?

I'd try flashing stock firmware using Odin. I think that's your only hope

I tried flashing with Odin, but it wouldn't use the .tar and.img files I used. It kept failing.

I've talked to someone who used to work for Verizon. She said a factory reset MIGHT help, but she's not entirely sure.

Where did you get the stock .tar file from?
You can try a factory reset if you like but I can "almost" guarantee it won't restore your stock recovery

I see you have the SCH-I535 model of a Samsung Galaxy SIII here is the download from SamMobile for it. Follow the instructions in the link to the letter. Extract the .Zip folder once to get to the .tar file you use.

Thanks @dynomot, reinstalling the stock OS fixed it, and *DID* get me the stick recovery back.
I didn't know that the bootloader on it was locked, and tried installing a few things I can't install anymore.

Do you happen to know if there is any way to unlock the bootloader, or if there is a way to install CM?

If the boot loader locked, probably not.
